The Sunburst Award Society is proud to announce this 2026 esteemed panel of judges.

They are...

A.G. Pasquella’s writing has appeared in various spots, including McSweeney’s, Wholphin, The Believer, Black Book, and Little Brother. He’s the co-editor (along with Terri Favro) of Pac’n Heat: A Noir Homage to Ms. Pac-Man. Pasquella’s novellas— Why Not A Spider Monkey Jesus?, NewTown, and The This & The That— were republished by Wolsak & Wynn in an omnibus entitled Welcome To The Weird America. His story “I Was A Teenage Minotaur,” originally published by Joyland, was included in Imaginarium 2013: The Best Canadian Speculative Writing. Pasquella’s three crime thrillers in the Jack Palace series— Yard Dog, Carve The Heart, and Season of Smoke— were published by Dundurn Press. His newest book is a speculative fiction anthology co-edited with Jeff Dupuis entitled Devouring Tomorrow:

Daniel Perry's newest book, Modern Folklore, is a novella available from Little Ghosts Books. His two previous books, Nobody Looks That Young Here and Hamburger, are short story collections. His fiction has been short-listed for the Carter V. Cooper Prize, and has appeared in more than 30 publications in Canada, the US, the UK, and Czechia. He lives in Toronto.  
A.C. Wise is the author of the novels Wendy, Darling, Hooked, and Ballad of the Bone Road, along with the novellas Grackle, and Out of the Drowning Deep, and the short story collection, The Ghost Sequences, among other works. Along with winning the Sunburst Award for Excellence in Canadian Literature of the Fantastic in 2017, her work has been a finalist for the Nebula, World Fantasy, Stoker, Shirley Jackson, Aurora, British Fantasy, Locus, and Lambda Literary Awards. In addition to her fiction, she contributes regular review columns to both Locus and Apex Magazine.
